Native to Russia, the small shrubs are hardy to zone 3 and are easy to grow with no pest or disease problems. The soft gray green, velvet like foliage has a spreading habit and the shrubs usually reach 3 high and 4 wide. The tasty, easy to harvest fruit looks like elongated blueberries.
